Maria S. Hernandez M.D.
Maria S. Hernandez, M.D., received her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. She completed a combined medical residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
As a hospitalist at Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, she was inspired by Dr. Chua's passion for GI medicine and tireless devotion to his patients. She soon joined his practice and today serves as the chief medical officer. She is fluent in Spanish and board certified in Internal Medicine.
